Flooded Lead-Acid Battery

This is the most traditional type of lead-acid battery. The electrolyte is liquid. There is a vent on the top of the battery. The evaporated water needs to be checked and replenished regularly. Its advantages are low cost and mature manufacturing process. It is widely used in automobile starting, power system and other fields. ​

Sealed Lead-Acid Battery

The sealed lead-acid battery reduces the leakage of electrolyte and the evaporation of water through the sealing design, reducing the maintenance requirements. ​Depending on the internal structure and electrolyte, the sealed lead-acid battery can be subdivided into the following two types: adsorbed glass fiber separator battery and gel battery

Deep Cycle Lead-Acid Battery

Deep cycle batteries are designed for frequent deep discharge and charging cycles. The electrode plates are thicker and suitable for electric forklifts, solar energy storage systems and other equipment that require frequent charging and discharging. ​

Starting, Lighting, and Ignition Battery, SLI

SLI batteries are mainly used in the starting, lighting and ignition systems of vehicles such as cars and motorcycles. The design emphasizes providing high current in a short time. The electrode plates are thin and not suitable for deep discharge.​

Start-Stop Battery

With the development of automobile energy-saving technology, the start-stop system is widely used in vehicles. The battery dedicated to the start-stop system needs to have fast charging and discharging capabilities and a high cycle life, and often uses enhanced AGM or EFB technology. ​

Application of lead-acid batteries in the automotive and transportation fields

Automotive starter batteries (SLI batteries): used for starting, lighting and ignition systems of cars, motorcycles, trucks, etc.

Electric bicycles and electric tricycles: widely used in the Chinese market.

Golf carts and electric forklifts: mostly deep-cycle lead-acid batteries.

Rail transportation and ship starting: used for auxiliary starting or backup power supply.

Automotive Lead-Acid Battery

Specially used for starting, lighting and ignition systems (SLI: Starting, Lighting, Ignition)

The electrode plate is thinner and the reaction speed is faster, but it is not suitable for deep discharge
